How
long will it take to bring my spouse here?
The process usually takes
8-12 months from start to finish.
Can my spouse bring his/her
children to the US?
Yes. You can petition separately for your step-children if they meet certain age and other requirements.
Can my spouse
bring other relatives to the US?
No. LPR status does not
allow your spouse to bring other relatives to the U.S. Your spouse
can only bring his/her unmarried children who are under age 21 to
the US until s/he becomes a citizen. Once that happens, you spouse
will be eligible to bring his/her parents, married children, adult
children, and brothers and sisters to the US. Unfortunately, you cannot
apply to bring your spouse's relatives because people are not able
to petition for their in-laws.
Can my spouse work?
Yes, with a social security number.
Can my spouse leave the country?
Yes, but your spouse should not spend too much time outside of the US or s/he can loose his/her status

Documentation
Advice
I will personally advise you on all aspects of supporting evidence
collection and documentation. I also provide clients with sample statements
and other information to aid you in the collection of your supporting
evidence.
Personal Information Collection
Each client is provided
with easy to complete intake forms that allow me to complete your
petition with the most accurate and up-to-date information from both
you and your spouse
USCIS Petition Preparation
Based on the information
provided by you and your spouse I will complete your petition and
submit it to you for signature. Upon receiving your supporting evidence
and intake form, most visa petitions are prepared by me in less than
7 days. After the preparation of your completed package, I will email
or fax a copy of the Biographical data sheet to your spouse for signature
and submit your completed package to you for review.
USCIS Petition
Preparation Standards
Your petition will be completed in adherence
with all USCIS standards and regulations for. Each petition includes
a cover letter, index, and tabbed sections for ease of review. In
order to encourage USICS to approve your package immediately upon
review, I work one-on-one with my clients to develop a complete, well-rounded
package of supporting documentation.
Client Package
For your
records, you will receive a complete duplicate package for your records
at no additional charge.
Online Monitoring
Once the receipt
notice is received by my office, you will be enrolled in an online
monitoring program. This service will send you email notifications
regarding your case.
USCIS Support
I personally conduct all
correspondence with USCIS including any fax, email, or phone conversations
regarding your petition. In some cases, you may be asked to contact
either USCIS or the embassy directly about your based upon my advice.
Embassy Support
About 2 weeks before your petition is scheduled
for review, I will contact you to begin preparing the provisional
embassy file. At this time, we will work together to complete the
affidavit of support, gather additional supporting documentation.
As soon as your petition is approved, I will submit a provisional
package with the embassy.
Interview Preparation
Your spouse
will receive two complete embassy packages. One packet will contain
original documents for the consulate's review and the other copies.
Your spouse is encouraged to review these documents and familiarize
him/herself with the contents. My office will also provide advice
about the interview itself and answer any questions your spouse may
have.
